ORIGINAL PORTFOLIO · EXPERIENCE
Sorcerer.Earth
At Sorcerer.Earth, I supported the development of high-altitude airborne sensor systems by prototyping and integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems that enable orders-of-magnitude more data collection. I worked on densely populated PCBs (300+ components), contributed to build documentation, and streamlined assembly flow to help scale production from 1 unit/week to 7 units/week.
I also built, set up, and calibrated the team’s fabrication tools, including the CNC, laser cutter, and 3D printers, improving reliability and speeding up iteration cycles. During development sprints, I helped launch high-altitude balloons, provided material and mechanical feedback to the founding team, and stepped in wherever hands-on support was needed.
A major contribution was diagnosing and repairing a one-of-a-kind, 12-foot sealing machine critical to the balloon workflow, bringing it back to operational condition during a time-sensitive build window.
I can’t share photos of the PCBs, subsystems, or tooling setups I worked on due to the proprietary nature of Sorcerer’s hardware and internal processes. Much of the work involved early-stage designs, custom fabrication methods, and novel system architectures that the company is keeping confidential, so I’ve limited visuals to non-sensitive content only.
